Behind Every Door is a collaboration between storyteller Kim Kilpatrick and visual artist Rachel Gray, creating accessible, multisensory art rooted in disability arts and underrepresented experiences.
Drawing on stories from patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in the Bruyère Palliative Care Unit, the film uses hand-painted oil animation and creative audio description to explore experiences of death, dying, and care.
Following the screening, audiences are invited to join Kim and Rachel for a conversation about the film, listening, storytelling, empathy, and connection.
